Author Visits Spokane To Talk Greg LeMond and the Tour de France

The Tour de France is a big deal in Europe, kind of like their Super Bowl. It doesn't have that same stature here, unless there’s an American near the top. Lance Armstrong brought a lot of Tour de France excitement to the nation. And so did the guy who proceeded him as the first American to win the three-week race across France, Greg LeMond in 1986. He won it three times. Former Washington Post correspondent Daniel De Vise came through Spokane recently to talk about his new book about LeMond and his effect on cycling in America.
