Musicfest Northwest has spent the last 70 years celebrating the students of classical music and ballet. KPBX was proud to feature many 2015 participants on the radio.
Photos of each performer are on SPR's Flickr page.
Podcasts of the students' performances are being uploaded to the internet today (Friday May 22) and will be available through SPR's From the Studio.

The KPBX Kids' Concert was FREE thanks to event donors Numerica Credit Union, Pioneer School, and Rocket Bakery. SPR also gets support from the National Endowment for the Arts, and from the Florence Wasmer Fund for Arts & Culture at Inland Northwest Community Foundation.
The May 18th Concert of the Week featured highlights of the two Festival concerts -- the Young Artist winners with the Spokane Symphony, and the Friday evening showcase of other Festival winners.
"This is the first time we've been able to have the public watch these wonderful kids play, not just hear what they sound like on the radio," says Verne Windham. As both Program Director and Morning Classical Host, Verne has hosted the Musicfest on-air broadcasts for the past couple of decades.
