Administrative Assistant/Receptionist PT job sharing (24 hrs./wk. – Wednesday-Friday)

Spokane Public Radio is seeking a dynamic individual to work part-time as our administrative assistant/receptionist. This job-share position serves as an essential liaison between listeners, members, and SPR Staff and provides general office support. Our ideal candidate is detail oriented, able to multi-task, and has excellent interpersonal skills. Familiarity with public radio and non-profit organizations is preferred.

Job Duties:

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service
  • Greet visitors & callers 
  • Answer multiple phone lines
  • Respond to listener phone & online queries
  • Perform routine office work
  • Post items to the website, including community calendar submissions, movie reviews, music podcasts, interviews with studio guests, poetry and book reading segments
  • Participate in contract and payment data entry and the billing process
  • Order and replenish supplies
  • Handle service deliveries
  • Track news stories and compile quarterly reports
  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:                                                                                                       

  • Requires a very upbeat & helpful approach with listeners & colleagues 
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Must also be able to work collaboratively and accept feedback
  • Detail-oriented with ability to multitask & prioritize work from several sources
  • Ability to use standard office equipment including desktop computers, telephones, scanners, and copy machines
  • Is willing to assume additional responsibility and learn new skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Spokane Public Radio
  • Background in the non-profit sector
  • Strong organizational skills
  • CMS experience
