Joe Hedges Exhibition: Archæolatry at Spokane Falls Community College

Joe Hedges Exhibition: Archæolatry at Spokane Falls Community College

Artist Joe Hedges explores the ways in which the physical and digital realms overlap, contradict, and support each other. In this exhibition, Archæolatry at Spokane Falls Community College, he explores the legacy of figurative oil painting alongside the dizzying array of new media choices available to artists today.

Through mashing up different elements in counterintuitive and surprising ways, Hedges invites viewers to reflect on both the potential pitfalls—and creative possibilities—embedded in specific media technologies. Artist Lecture: Thursday, March 10th in Building 24, Room 110 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. with a reception immediately following in the SFCC Fine Art Gallery.
