The Tempest

The Tempest

A storm is coming… but not the one you expect.

In this bold reimagining of The Tempest, Shakespeare’s classic tale of magic, betrayal, true love and forgiveness finds new life in the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest. The exiled Prospero becomes Parker—a visionary CEO cast out by her ambitious sister Alexis and the scheming Chairman of the Board. Stranded on a remote island, Parker conjures a storm to bring her enemies within reach, setting in motion a tale of justice, reconciliation, and transformation.

Pow-Wow singers from ‘Singing Rivers Drum’ echo across the island representing the sound of the elemental magic, and Caliban—traditionally portrayed as a singular creature—emerges here as a split being, embodied by two actors who reveal the complex struggle between servitude and sovereignty.

Whether you're new to The Tempest or know every line by heart, this modern staging invites you to see the play with fresh eyes—and to consider who holds the power, and at what cost.
