BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet return to Spokane for an SPR benefit concert on a snowy night in February.

Dr. Cary Boyce announces the acquisition of Firestation No.3 for SPR’s new home. Moving to a Sound Future is the theme of the Capital Campaign.

Siobhan Flanagan, an intern from Lewis and Clark High School takes over production of Broadway Matinee which airs on Wednesday mornings.

Zan Agzigian and intern Jacob Hagen begin producing new episodes of Soundspace.

April/May/June 

NPR’s Deborah Amos comes to town for Get Lit! and comes to the station.

Groundbreaking at Firestation No 3 occurs on June 2.

Paula Poundstone and Fred Newman come for performances benefitting SPR, on May 8 and June 18, respectively, both at The Bing Crosby Theater.

 

Movies 101 discussion and viewing of "A Hard Day's Night"

July/August/September

Mike Wieber’s program What I Found returns for a summer run on Friday mornings on KPBX.

Movies 101 produces a sold-out evening at The Bing Crosby Theater featuring a discussion of The Beatles “A Hard Day’s Night,” followed by a showing of the restored film in honor of its 50th anniversary.

Broadway Matinee is replaced by Footlight Parade on Wednesday mornings on KPBX.

The Score, a program celebrating symphonic music in film begins airing on Tuesday evenings on KPBX.

October/November/December

Dr. Zorba Paster comes to Spokane for a program on October 9. 

The pledge drive moves from one day to three days for the fall drive.

Pearl Django presents a concert benefiting SPR on November 20.
