Acclaimed Explorer Photographers to Take on Spokane’s Stage

The organization that brings Broadway shows to Spokane every year is branching out to world renowned photography. West Coast Entertainment announced Monday it will host a four-part series called National Geographic Live over the next year.
West Coast president Jack Lucas says Spokane is one of 14 cities currently scheduled to present the series, which features the likes of Kobie Boykins, a NASA Engineer. ‘Exploring Mars: the Next Generation’ details the 2004 deployment of two Mars rovers. This presentation is one of four coming to Spokane between October and April.

Other events include a team of underwater photographers, a wildlife photographer who focuses on endangered animals, and climbing explorers who toured Antarctica. During each show, award winning photographers and explores will tell their story alongside high-definition footage.

West Coast is hosting the National Geographic Live Series alongside Spokane Teachers Credit Union. It’s the first series of it’s kind in Spokane.
