Bike to Work Week 2016

May 16-20 was Bike to Work Week and Spokane Public Radio was proud to once again be a Gold Wheel Sponsor, highlighting bike commuting to work, school, and everywhere!

SPR took part in three events, plus encouraged everyone to get involved in all of the Bike Everywhere Week events happening in our community.

Events:
Monday, May 16, 7am-9am
Kick-off Breakfast @ Riverfront Park, Spokane Falls Blvd at Post

Kick off a week of bike commuting with pancakes, coffee, and live music. Meet other bike commuters, and hear what leaders in our community are doing to make Spokane a better and safer bike community.

Wednesday, May 18, 7am-9am
Energizer Station @ Historic Fire Station #3, Monroe and Sharp

Join SPR staffers and volunteers for a cup of Craven's Coffee and a snack as you make your way to work and school.

Friday, May 20, 5:30pm-7:30pm
Wrap-up Party @ River City Brewing, 121 S. Cedar

Wrap up the week in style with free beer and pizza thanks to generous Bike to Work Week sponsors. We'll be there with information about upcoming events and to help give away door prizes.
