Inland Journal, Oct. 3, 2019: City Council Candidate Tony Kiepe

Doug Nadvornick/SPR

I’m Doug Nadvornick. Today on the Inland Journal podcast, we move to the first of two candidates in the race for Spokane city council in the South district. The incumbent is Lori Kinnear, who is running for a second term. We’ll hear from her tomorrow. Today, we talk with Tony Kiepe. He’s a health care consultant who’s running for office for the first time.

Kiepe finished second in the August primary to Lori Kinnear. Kinnear won 59% of the vote to Kiepe’s 23%.

Our next Inland Journal podcast will feature our conversation with Kinnear.

You can find our candidate interviews at Spokane Public Radio dot org. Go to the Regional News tab, then click on Election 2019.
