January Membership Drawing: Northwest BachFest Tickets

SPR's drawing for January will be for two pairs of tickets to four concerts at the Northwest Bach Festival! Bachfest Concerts with Artistic Director Zuill Bailey in 2020 will celebrate Beethoven’s 250th Anniversary Year in late February and May.

Everyone making a Pledge beginning January 7 through January 31 is entered into TWO DRAWINGS, each for a pair of tickets to 4 concerts from the series taking place February and May, plus a gift certificate from Bardenay Restaurant and Distillery in Coeur d’Alene.

Northwest Bachfest Week One resumes the celebration of Beethoven’s 250th Anniversary year with a continuation of the complete cycle of his String Quartets performed by the Attacca String Quartet. 

February concert dates:

  • Tuesday, February 25, 7:30 pm at Barrister Winery in Spokane
  • Wednesday, February 26, 7:30 pm at Barrister Winery 
  • Friday, February 28, 7:30 pm at Barrister Winery
  • Bachfest week 1 concludes Saturday, February 29, 7:30 pm at Barrister Winery

Bachfest Week Two in May 2020 will celebrate Beethoven’s 250th Anniversary Year with his complete works for cello and piano with cellist Zuill Bailey and pianist Edward Zieberkant. Concert dates will be arranged by March. Details for the concerts online at nwbachfest.com.

About Bachfest:

The 2020 BachFest concerts bring a Celebration of Beethoven’s 250th birthday and continue a complete cycle of his famous string quartets which began with Winter Classics 2019 with Ariel Quartet.  BachFest Week One concerts are at Barrister Winery in Spokane, performed by the Attacca Quartet. The Beethoven quartets performed in these concerts are from his early, middle, and late periods and are interspersed with quartets by three living composers for developmental perspective, Gabriella Smith’s Carrot Revolution; Caroline Shaws’ Entr’acte, and Paul Wiancko’s Untitled.  

Quartet members are:  Amy Schroeder, violin 1; Domenic Salerni, violin 2; Nathan Schram, viola; Andrew Yee, cello.
