KPBX Recordings & Videos Sale 2016: Return of the Vinyl

Thanks to everyone who came to the Recordings & Videos Sale, the biggest two-day music and film sale in the Inland Northwest. The Lincoln Center (Lincoln & Sharp) was buzzing on Feb. 20 and 21 as visitors searched through thousands of records, CDs, DVDs and more. All funds benefit Spokane Public Radio.

Both days featured live music from 1-3 p.m.  On Saturday Maxie Ray Mills and Steve Sackett graced the stage; Sunday the Two-Bit Jug Band entertained.

Vinyl is still the top item in the Recordings & Videos Sale

Admission was free thanks to event donors Design Spike, Strong Solutions, The Cleaning Authority, and Holy Names Music Center.

Thanks also to The Lincoln Center staff, Spokane Movers, Craven's Coffee Company, Red Rock Catering, Rocket Bakery, Events Rents, Kirby Vacuum, Music City, Salvation Army, Earthworks Recycling, 4000 Holes, Long Ear in Cd'A, Bicycle Time & Music Too in Cheney, our R&V Sale Radio Actors, and the dedicated SPR Volunteers who made the event possible.

Steve Sackett and Maxie Ray Mills entertain shoppers Saturday afternoon.

Bids continued until the last minute for Silent Auction items. Different items were put out both Saturday and Sunday.

All ages found something interesting at the sale. This girl has her own collection of read-along record albums.

One shopper kept finding treasures throughout Saturday.

Mica Hanson, aka "Luke Skyrecords" on the Return of the Vinyl story that promoted the Sale on air, picked up some of the extensive opera collection donated by the estate of a Whitworth Elementary school librarian.
