Season 6, Episode 1: Oblique to the Universe!

Kevin and Tony, hounded by the tyranny of integer sequences, have moved directly from the end of Season 5 to the start of Season 6. Were they not so weak and vulnerable to suggestion, the boys might have begun Season 5A, or even Season 117.3. To help them cope, as well as explain what is meant by the opaque title, “Oblique to the Universe,” Tony and Kevin turn to visiting Portlanders, “Kathy” and “Andy” (possibly not their real names), who offer their harsh appraisal. Then, we return once more to “Trapped Like Rats!”--the talk show hosted by cannibal hostages kept in a metal tube, who begin, this time, to resist the predations of their all-powerful, otherworldly Captor. Next, we hear from Thor Rasmussen himself with more of “Direct to Consumer Retail Hubs Ahoy!” You’ll hear how various objects, in packages, can be sent—directly—to you, the consumer. It’s big, really. From there, we hear from our new sponsor “The New America Online University,” which protects students from access to real university faculty, and replaces real information with commodified falsehoods! And finally, we ask once again, “What’s that Floating in your Pond, Uncle Joey!” What new horror do Billy and Susie find in the floating refrigerator? Can really short people live inside a refrigerator? Start practicing your gasp now!
