Season 6, Episode 14: City of Steves

This episode, the typical jocular beginning of the episode, banter, is replaced by a revolutionary new idea…oh, wait, it’s just banter. But scintillating and—dare we say—titillating banter? After all, this is “City of Steves”! Our first sketch is “Tales from the Profane Calliope,” hosted by Bay Radbury, and it’s our first Men in Charge radio sketch in black and white! This particular tale is the nail-chilling and bone-biting “What Were You Smelling in the Year 2000?” After that, our sponsor, the New America family of products and services lets you know what to do now that you can’t make ends meet anymore by selling your manly basement kitsch. What’s the solution? Here’s a hint: mortgage your life to New America to get more kitsch to sell! Then, because two commercials are better than one, it’s Dick Digwood’s “Eat Your Phone!” (warning: don’t try this at home until you’ve purchased an “Eat Your Phone!” device—from Dick Digwood!)  Then Tony and Kevin unwisely open the spam filter to reveal “Nano-towel!” It’ll replace all your regular paper towels—because they are evil! But the story is much, much more sinister than that, as you’ll hear, listener!
