Season 6, Episode 7: My Favorite Migraine Story

Tony and Kevin learn that Monopoly is the text, and Not Listening is the subtext. They say dumb things about bulgur wheat instead of migraines, and then their idiocy extends to considering the purchasing power of Monopoly money, especially those little blue fifties. Their advice? Spend that money at home by persuading your children it’s their allowance. Inevitably, our hosts go on to discuss the Feng Shui of furniture arrangement inside those little green Monopoly houses. At last Tony and Kevin move on to “Complaints from Our Listeners” as the derisive source of new comedy ideas (Sorry, Listener! But hey, keep blogging!). And then the new sponsor, “Passive Games,” explains how to bring your children’s tranquilized state to a fever pitch of sedentary numbness. They then check in with Baritone-award-winner Roger Basement, who brings us another edition of “What’s New with You,” when Roger more-or-less interviews a musician who exalts the authenticity of failure over the artifice of achievement. Finally we listen in on Don Target, cashier-savant at MacGuffin’s department store, a man who knows more than he ought to about listeners like you…
