The pavilion in Spokane’s Riverfront Park has begun its new life as a civic gathering place. The former U.S. Pavilion for the city’s 1974 World’s Fair has undergone an extensive remodel.

Here are some of the sounds from Friday evening's ceremony, dedicating the new pavilion. We start with the city’s interim parks director, Garrett Jones, and the ribbon cutting with an historic giant pair of scissors.
