From the Studio: Ignite! Community Theater presents "Farce of Nature"

Several members of the Ignite! Community Theater stopped by the studio this morning to talk with Verne about their latest production, Farce of Nature.  This "southern-fried farce" highlights a day in the life of the Wilburn family of Mayhew, Arkansas and the Reel 'Em Inn, a fishing lodge on the skids.  Assistant director Lulu Stafford and costumer Neesha Schrom Crosen shared their experiences working on the show which runs from November 11-17, 2016.  Then cast members Ruben Miranda (as D. Gene Wilbern), Ann Marie Burk (as Wanelle Wilbern) and El'y Drushella (as Ty Wilbern) gave us a sneak preview of a scene.

Tickets and more information can be found on the Ignite! Community Theater website.

Verne Windham got his start at Spokane Public Radio 20 years ago. “I came in to complain and they hired me.” He’s now the Program Director, as well as the host of Morning Classical and Concert of the Week. When choosing music for Morning Classical, Verne likes to keep the agenda as broadly defined as possible. For Concert of the Week, he focuses on the best of recent local performances, mostly classical in nature. For many years, Verne was also the conductor of the Spokane Youth Orchestra. He enjoys gardening, his vintage car and playing French horn.
