From the Studio: Natasha Paremski and the Gonzaga Symphony Orchestra

The Gonzaga Symphony Orchestra will present their season finale concert tonight with guest artist and pianist Natasha Paremski.  Natasha came and talked to Verne in the studio today about her international experiences, background, and the selection she is performing with Gonzaga students.

The Gonzaga Symphony Orchestra will perform tonight, Monday, February 29th at 7:30pm at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox.  The program includes the Euryanthe Overture by Carl Maria von Weber, Corolian Overture by Ludwig van Beethoven, Les Preludes by Franz Liszt, and concludes with Natasha performing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 with the orchestra.

Verne Windham got his start at Spokane Public Radio 20 years ago. “I came in to complain and they hired me.” He’s now the Program Director, as well as the host of Morning Classical and Concert of the Week. When choosing music for Morning Classical, Verne likes to keep the agenda as broadly defined as possible. For Concert of the Week, he focuses on the best of recent local performances, mostly classical in nature. For many years, Verne was also the conductor of the Spokane Youth Orchestra. He enjoys gardening, his vintage car and playing French horn.
