University of Washington pathology researcher Matt Kaeberlein is studying another way in which dog is human’s best friend. Kaeberlein says dogs age in many of the same ways humans do and because of that, they might help people learn more about the afflictions that plague us when we get old. He says, because dogs age faster than people, researchers are able to find answers faster when studying age-related diseases in dogs.

Kaeberlein spoke recently at Gonzaga.
