From the Studio: Gonzaga Theatre & Dance Department

Gonzaga University

Director Kathleen Jeffs and actors Bridget Pretz, Erin Sellers, and Eloisa Serrano of the Gonzaga Theatre and Dance Department arrived at the studio to discuss their production of "Mother Courage and Her Children." Originally penned by German playwright Bertolt Brecht in 1939, it is the story of a woman who travels the Thirty Year War in her tattered wagon, literally feeding her family off the machine of war.

Performances will be at 7:30 PM November 1-3 & 8-10, with 2:00 PM matinees on November 4 & 11.

The production is rated PG-13 and may not be suitable for all audiences.

Verne Windham got his start at Spokane Public Radio 20 years ago. “I came in to complain and they hired me.” He’s now the Program Director, as well as the host of Morning Classical and Concert of the Week. When choosing music for Morning Classical, Verne likes to keep the agenda as broadly defined as possible. For Concert of the Week, he focuses on the best of recent local performances, mostly classical in nature. For many years, Verne was also the conductor of the Spokane Youth Orchestra. He enjoys gardening, his vintage car and playing French horn.
