Spokane Falls Community College mass Covid testing site temporarily closes from snow damage

The Spokane Falls Community College mass testing site closed Thursday after heavy snowfall damaged the drive through structure.

According to a news release from the Spokane Regional Health District, the center beam of the structure collapsed under the weight of the snow. All mass testing site staff have moved to the Spokane County Fairgrounds mass testing site.

Due to the high demand for covid tests, the fairgrounds mass testing site will only be testing people who made appointments. All Thursday appointments have already been filled.

According to the news release, the health district does not yet know if repairs will be completed in time for the community college testing site to open Friday.
