From the Studio: Sgt. Steve's Big Band Concert

Steve Friel and Matt Henson preview "It's Officially Christmas" at The Bing

Bandleader Steve Friel and producer Matt Henson joined E.J. Iannelli in the KPBX studio to preview the "It's Officially Christmas" concert featuring the Sgt. Steve Big Band.

The holiday-themed concert takes place at The Bing Crosby Theater on Friday, November 25.

Friel explained how the concert and the related Merry Christmas album, which was recorded last fall, are designed to benefit various veterans organizations as well as community groups.

The concert will feature special guests like Kristina Ploeger, who is the director of the Spokane Symphony's Chorale and, like Friel, is a professor at Eastern Washington University.

More information about the "It's Officially Christmas" concert and the Merry Christmas album is available at the Sgt. Steve Big Band website.

Tickets for the concert can be purchased from TicketsWest.
