Idaho Governor Brad Little spent much of his time with reporters Friday in Post Falls talking about how well the Gem State economy has weathered the Covid storm.

But he also identified two big challenges that threaten the state’s rosy scenario. One is the cost of housing.

Idaho legislators will return to their 2021 session tomorrow [Tuesday] after a two-week recess. They took time off to allow a mini-Covid outbreak involving six House members to pass.

One of the items on their agenda: a second vote on accepting an early education grant. It was defeated because of concerns about the content of the curriculum.

Spokane city officials today [Tuesday] launched a new survey to ask residents how the city should spend its federal coronavirus relief money.

Mayor Nadine Woodward says the city received $6.6 million in CARES Act money.

The federal government is sending about $90 million from the coronavirus recovery fund to Spokane County.

County commissioners say they’re interested in hearing how people want that to be divided. They’ve created an online survey for people to fill out.

But one Spokane group hopes they’ll do more to make sure the money gets into the right hands.
