Film

There's something satisfying about sitting in a darkened theater, hearing the 200 people around you suck in a breath -- anticipating the moment the egg breaks open and an alien 'facehugger' latches onto John Hurt's character.

The 1979 film "Alien" inserts horror into gritty science fiction, and Spokane Public Radio brought it back to the Bing Crosby Theater's big screen for one night on October 8.

A new film that looks at the journey of a lone wolf is playing in Spokane this week. 'OR-7, the Journey' tells the story of a male wolfs 1,000 mile journey from eastern Oregon to California, then back to the west side of Oregon State.

SPR and Friends of the Bing presented a special one-day-only double feature of Coen Brothers movies on Sunday, January 11, 2015.  An enthusiastic crowd watched “Raising Arizona” and “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” on the big screen of the Bing Crosby Theater with the Movies 101 crew.
