Georgians are voting in two Senate runoff elections on Tuesday, January 5. Incumbent Republican Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue face Democratic challengers Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff. The races were too close to call in November and now their outcome determines the balance of power in the Senate. Follow the results live.

The 57th anniversary of the 1963 March on Washington, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his "I Have a Dream Speech," is set for this Friday, Aug. 28. The Rev. Al Sharpton has dubbed this march as the "Get Your Knee Off Our Necks," a name generated from his eulogy at the funeral of slain civilian George Floyd. His death at the hands of police drew people from all over the world into the streets. They were protesting police brutality. Friday, those expecting to attend the march include attorney Benjamin Crump, the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Eric Garner and others. They will be convening with Sharpton's National Action Network, the NAACP and others.

Senate:
The Senate holds the first congressional hearings with Postmaster General Louis DeJoy as complaints about slow mail delivery pile up. Democrats worry that DeJoy's cost-cutting measures could also throw a wrench in increased voting by mail this fall.

House:
A House committee will grill Postmaster General Louis DeJoy over whether there is any political motivation behind recent service cuts at the U.S. Postal Service right as the agency expects to handle tens of millions of mail in ballots this fall.

The Senate is holding a trial on the impeachment of President Trump, who is accused by the U.S. House of abusing his power and obstructing Congress. Each day of the trial will stream through this player as proceedings begin. At the conclusion of the trial, senators are expected to vote on whether Trump should be removed from office.

Congress is taking additional steps to prepare for the upcoming Senate impeachment trial. The newly appointed House impeachment managers, who will present the case for impeachment, are reading the articles in the Senate chamber. Senators are also being sworn in as jurors.
