Karen Stratton holds the seat and we’ll talk with her about her accomplishments she considers most important. We’ll also quiz her about issues such as homelessness and a possible new county jail about which we’ve been asking the other candidates.

The seat is held by Karen Stratton and she’s running for re-election. She has five challengers. As of now, we’ve interviewed four of them. We’ll talk with Stratton tomorrow. Today we’ll hear from one of the challengers, Christopher Savage. Savage is a Lyft driver who lives on the Five Mile Prairie.

Today on the Inland Journal podcast, we near the end of our conversations with the seven candidates running for a Spokane city council seat in the Northeast district, the seat now held by Mike Fagan. Fagan is running for council president, so this will be an open seat.

We talk with Louis Lefebvre. Lefebvre works as an emergency dispatcher in the combined Spokane city/county emergency system. He will soon his job, as he will tell us, and that played into his decision to run for city council.

Today on the Inland Journal podcast, we continue to work our way down the list of seven candidates who want to replace Mike Fagan on the Spokane city council, representing the Northeast district. Last week, we talked with four of the candidates. Now we turn to Michael Cathcart. Cathcart has worked for the Spokane Home Builders Association. He’s also a political consultant for local candidates.
