From the Studio: Fall for History Festival with John Langellier

Verne had the pleasure of talking to writer and scholar Dr. John Langellier about the Fall for History Festivaltaking place in Wallace, ID, October 6-9.  The festival is made possible by the cooperation of the Idaho Humanities Council, the Idaho Historical Society, the Idaho Association of Museums, and Visit Idaho.  John Langellier, a scholar of Buffalo Soldiers, will speak about Wallace's violent mining strikes and the Great Fire of 1910.  Verne talked with Dr. Langellier about these presentations as well as with Chamber Coordinator Dave Copelan.

Verne Windham
Verne Windham got his start at Spokane Public Radio 20 years ago. “I came in to complain and they hired me.” He’s now the Program Director, as well as the host of Morning Classical and Concert of the Week. When choosing music for Morning Classical, Verne likes to keep the agenda as broadly defined as possible. For Concert of the Week, he focuses on the best of recent local performances, mostly classical in nature. For many years, Verne was also the conductor of the Spokane Youth Orchestra. He enjoys gardening, his vintage car and playing French horn.
