From the Studio: Spokane Civic Theatre presents "Moby Dick – A Musical"

Director Jean Hardie, Music Director Annie Flood and actors Bill Garry and Karlin Kahler from Spokane Civic Theatre voyaged to our station alongside playwright/lyricist Ed Bryan and composer William Berry to introduce their new creation: “Moby Dick – A Musical.” This original song-filled adaptation of the classic novel by Herman Melville tells the tale of a grizzled sea captain’s search for an elusive white whale and the toll it takes on the people around him.

Performances will be at 7:30 PM this Thursday, Friday and Saturday with a 2 PM matinee on Sunday.

This play is suitable for general audiences.

Verne Windham
Verne Windham got his start at Spokane Public Radio 20 years ago. “I came in to complain and they hired me.” He’s now the Program Director, as well as the host of Morning Classical and Concert of the Week. When choosing music for Morning Classical, Verne likes to keep the agenda as broadly defined as possible. For Concert of the Week, he focuses on the best of recent local performances, mostly classical in nature. For many years, Verne was also the conductor of the Spokane Youth Orchestra. He enjoys gardening, his vintage car and playing French horn.
