As part of Symphony Week 2022, Music Director James Lowe, Education and Community Engagement Manager Alexandra Rannow and Principal Timpanist Megan Gillis joined E.J. Iannelli in the studio to offer more information on the Spokane Symphony's many educational and outreach initiatives.
These initiatives include:
- Symphony Day
- Link Up (in partnership with Carnegie Hall)
- Instrument petting zoos
- School outreach tours
- The LoweDown
- Master Classes
- The Lullaby Project (also in partnership with Carnegie Hall)
- The Re-Connect Project
- Young Friends and Free Access to Student Tickets (FAST)
- College Card
Taken as a whole, they're designed to encourage a lifelong appreciation of music and musicianship while also expanding access to the symphony's creative output.
