City of Spokane

This week the Spokane City Council approved a new budget that will have the city spend nearly a billion dollars in 2018. With that out of the way, City Council President Ben Stuckart is turning his attention to the rules that govern how political campaigns for city offices are funded. On Monday, the council will consider his Spokane Fair Elections program, which would regulate campaign contribution limits, define when candidates can raise money and limit when certain entities, such as public sector unions, can contribute to campaigns.

Ben Stuckart joins us now to talk about his proposal.
