Yes on 1634 campaign

Washington’s Initiative 1634 is billed as a measure to prohibit local governments from imposing taxes on groceries. It is sponsored by the American Beverage Association and funded by the Washington Food Industry Association, the Washington Farm Bureau, the Korean-American Grocers’ Association of Washington and the Joint Council of Teamsters.

Recently, Doug Nadvornick moderated a mini-debate on 1634 for KSPS. It featured Kevin Rourke, the owner of Bargain Giant Foods in northeast Spokane, and Spokane City Councilwoman Kate Burke. Here are excerpts from that discussion.
