Third North Idaho Avalanche Victim Identified

The third victim of this week’s avalanche at the Silver Mountain ski resort in Kellogg, Idaho has been identified.

The Shoshone County Sheriff’s office identified her as 33-year-old Molly Elisabeth Hubbard from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her body was recovered Thursday afternoon after it was spotted from the air. Hubbard was skiing in the Wardner Peak area when the avalanche rolled through.

The search and rescue efforts have been halted. The sheriff’s office says about 140 people were involved in the search, including rescue and ski patrol teams from throughout North Idaho and eastern Washington.
