Spokane Public Radio has spoken to nine of the 13 candidates who are running for Spokane Public School Board of Directors.

Spokane Public Radio's Rebecca White spoke with candidate Melissa Bedford.Bedford is an assistant professor of education at Eastern Washington University and previously was a public K-12 teacher. 

She is running for Spokane Public School Board Position 3 against Karina Hernandez,  Jake Leadingham, Daryl Geffken, Ken Cameron, Richard Cangelosi, Andrew Mendez and Darryl Johnson.
