Tuesday morning, a few minutes after 5:00 a.m. Eastern Time, a SpaceX Falcon 9 booster lifted off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on a supply run to the International Space Station. On board were necessities, a Christmas dinner for the orbiting crew, and an experiment conceived, designed and built by a group of engineering students from the University of Idaho.

After the launch their faculty advisor, Dr. Matt Bernards, spoke with Spokane Public Radio's Brandon Hollingsworth.
