Scott Doughty and Dahveed Bullis, co-founders of Spokane Playwrights Laboratory, chat with E.J. Iannelli about their upcoming script development workshops for emerging area playwrights and their new Fly Like an Eagle program.
The Fly Like an Eagle pilot will bring their script development service into schools through an initial partnership between Spokane Playwrights Laboratory (SPL), West Valley High School and Spokane Falls Community College.
The program and the community workshops are being made possible through a recent Spokane Arts Grant Award (SAGA). SPL is one of nine successful applicants during SAGA's second funding round of 2022.
SAGA is an annual competitive grant process administered by Spokane Arts. It’s on track this year to allocate nearly $150,000 in financial support directly to artists and organizations.
