Spokane Regional Health District

Today (Thursday), the board of directors for the Spokane Regional Health District is considering a resolution related to smoking and vaping. The measure asks the Washington legislature to raise the minimum age for buying and selling tobacco and vaping products from 18 to 21. It also encourages other local governments, businesses and non-profit agencies to adopt similar resolutions.

The county’s health officer, Dr. Bob Lutz, says other cities and states around the nation have passed similar resolutions.
