The latest production at Lake City Playhouse highlights a forgotten story of WWII. “These Shining Lives” details the experiences of “the Radium Girls”—the young women who worked in factories painting watch faces with glowing irradiated paint, contracting radiation poisoning.
The show’s director, Kristin Kilmer, visits the studio to discuss the play and the Radium Girls. Also in the studio are actors Maria Stromberg (Catherine) and Brandon James Miller (Tom), with a preview of the show.
“These Shining Lives” opens Friday, February 21st, at 7 :30 PM, and runs through March 8. For tickets and more information, visit http://www.lakecityplayhouse.org/event/9c74950570e065d0036adb88f021debf.
