Spokane Folklore Society's Callers Workshop

The Spokane Folklore Society is hosting a free callers workshop on Saturday May 11 at the East Spokane Grange starting at 2:30PM. Here is an opportunity to learn how to call contra dances from two of the areas most well known callers, Joseph Erhard Hudson (Moscow) and Penn Fix (Spokane). The goal of this workshop is get everyone up and calling a very simple dance even if you don't have any experience. Reel Friends will be providing live music. Besides giving everyone the opportunity to try and call, Penn and Joseph will cover topics like repertoire, teaching, and programming. No experience is necessary. This is a free event and open to ages 18 or older. Workshop will start at 2:30 and end at 4:30. Located at 1621 N Park in the Spokane Valley
