Adam Zuick discusses the demands and the delights of the Blue Man Group

Adam Zuick of the Blue Man Group spoke with E.J. Iannelli by phone about their upcoming shows in Spokane.

Zuick, a former Spokanite and nine-year veteran of the popular performance art ensemble, talked about the "super strange" Blue Man audition process, the unique demands the group places on its performers and the rigor it takes to train for the touring productions.

"Every single day that we were in training, at some point we would be throwing something into each other's mouths," he says.

Zuick also talked about the theme of this particular Blue Man tour and the audience's participatory role as the "fourth member" of the troupe.

As part of the Blue Man Group's new North American tour, there will be two shows at the First Interstate Center for the Arts in Spokane. The first is on Monday, November 14, 2022 and the second is on Tuesday, November 15.
