A poem about place, reminding us that "it is significant to have gone and returned"

Fig DePaolo is a trans writer and poet currently finishing high school in the Running Start program at Spokane Falls Community College. His work has been published in multiple small journals and magazines, such as Sunday Mornings at the River and The Wire Harp, SFCC’s creative arts magazine, where he has served as literary editor. He has lived in Spokane all his life.

Like the other poems in this week's readings, this is from I Sing the Salmon Home: Poems from Washington State, an anthology edited by Washington State Poet Laureate Rena Priest and published by Empty Bowl Press.
