Musicfest Northwest broadcasts live again from the KPBX studios.

The Spokane Falls Brass Band reunites for the SPR Thank You Concert on June 2.

A Prairie Home Companion broadcasts from The Star Theater at the Spokane Arena on June 12. Audience includes members from Calgary. Garrison makes a shout out to Auntie's Bookstore.

 

July/August/September

The Guide moves from Bimonthly format to Quarterly format.

“Evening Under the Stars” includes food prepared by Chef Romeo Herrera and Catered for You, with Music by The Hot Club of Spokane.

The Blues Cruise happens on August 18, on board the Mish-an-Nock with Too Slim and the Taildraggers.

October/November/December

Howard Berkes visits Spokane for a lecture/discussion in honor of KSFC’s 10th anniversary, at the Bing Crosby Theater.

General Manager Richard Kunkel announces the purchase of a new home for the station on the corner of West Pacific and State Street in downtown Spokane formerly known as the Green-Hughes building.

KPBZ is introduced at SPR’s third broadcast service, Remix Radio.

Susan Stamberg comes to Spokane to speak at the YWCA Women of Achievement Luncheon in October, and The Capitol Steps perform in Spokane as part of Westcoast Entertainment’s Best of Broadway series.
