The Spokane Folklore Society hosts contra dances on first and third Wednesday of each month through June. On Wednesday May 15, caller Susan Dankovich will teach easy to learn dances. The Jam Band consisting of many local musicians will provide the music. Everyone is welcome. No experience is necessary. A newcomer session begins at 7:15PM followed by the dance starting at 7:30PM. Come alone or bring a friend. It is easy and fun! The dances are held at the Woman's Club Hall at the corner of 9th and Walnut on the South Hill.
