Listen to singer/songwriter Laura Gibson in an intimate setting at the West Central Abbey. Based in Portland, OR Gibson is currently on a nationwide "living room show" tour, playing small, one-of-a-kind venues. Among her many accolades, Laura Gibson is known for being the first musician ever to play an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, which she did in 2008.

Voices Together Children’s Choir is a choral singing experience for kids and teens ages 8+. March 16 – May 18 Saturdays 1-3pm McNally Recital Hall at Holy Names Music Center Participation fee only $80 (per session) As we learn the music for the performance, we will also be learning: basic vocal technique, ear training, musical concepts and terms and how to read a vocal line of music. Groups may be divided depending on enrollment. Tell your friends! The more the merrier!
Award-winning keyboard player Wayne Horvitz will work his magic on the iconic Hammond Organ in a wonderful evening of big band jazz with the Spokane Jazz Orchestra. Horvitz is an acclaimed musician and composer who owns and entertains at his own jazz club in Seattle, the Royal Room. Wayne Horvitz is an award-winning organist, was an important part of "the downtown scene" that developed in NY back in the early 90's, and now lives in Seattle where he performs at, owns, and operates his own jazz club called the Royal Room. The Spokane Jazz Orchestra is a 17-piece ensemble made up of some of the best jazz musicians in the Northwest. Their concerts draw from the full range of jazz music – standards from icons like Count Basie and Duke Ellington – along with innovate arrangements of a wide range of music from pop to rock to bluegrass and more. Many SJO members are college music professors, while several others are high school music teachers.

Jazz Night run by Imagine Jazz led by Rachel Bade-McMurphy and Brendan McMurphy featuring a rotating cast of local jazz professionals. Seasonal themed nights with special guests. Jam session follows at 9pm. Cover Charge applies, all ages.
Every Monday night John Firshi leads local and traveling musicians on traditional and modern blues tunes.

The Spokane Folklore Society hosts contra dances on first and third Wednesday of each month through June. On Wednesday May 15, caller Susan Dankovich will teach easy to learn dances. The Jam Band consisting of many local musicians will provide the music. Everyone is welcome. No experience is necessary. A newcomer session begins at 7:15PM followed by the dance starting at 7:30PM. Come alone or bring a friend. It is easy and fun! The dances are held at the Woman's Club Hall at the corner of 9th and Walnut on the South Hill.
