StoryCorps Great Thanksgiving Listen - Nov. 25-28

Spokane Public Radio invites you to participate in StoryCorps Great Thanksgiving Listen, November 25-28, 2021.

StoryCorps encourages anyone over the age of 13 to safely create an oral history by recording an interview with a relative, mentor, friend or someone you admire. You'll preserve your own unique oral history or a loved one and transform the holidays into a time of intergenerational sharing. The interviews will be part of the StoryCorps archive in the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.

It's easy to do! Download the  free StoryCorps app. StoryCorps Connect lets you record virtually. The StoryCorp app allows you to record in person.

More recording information and instructions are on the StoryCorp Website. Search for The Great Thanksgiving Listen. Another helpful page is Frequently Asked Questions.

Anyone with an interest in storytelling  can participate.  StoryCorps wants to create a grassroots history of the last 90 plus years of American history. StoryCorps’ has recorded over 650,000 interviews during the last six years of The Great Thanksgiving Listen, making it the largest single collection of voices ever gathered.
