From the Studio: Northwest Sacred Music Chorale Presents "A Creation Celebration"

Also featured on today's Morning Classical program, Stan McDaniel (director of the Northwest Sacred Music Chorale) joined Verne to talk about the chorale's upcoming spring concerts, entitled "A Creation Celebration." The concerts will feature Rene Clausen's "A New Creation" as well as selections from Haydn's "The Creation."  The NWSMC will be performing this Sunday, April 17th in Spokane at Central Lutheran Church at 4:30pm as well as two concerts in Coeur d'Alene - Friday, April 22nd at 7:30pm and Saturday, April 23rd at 4:00pm, both of which are at Trinity Lutheran Church in Coeur d'Alene.

Verne Windham got his start at Spokane Public Radio 20 years ago. “I came in to complain and they hired me.” He’s now the Program Director, as well as the host of Morning Classical and Concert of the Week. When choosing music for Morning Classical, Verne likes to keep the agenda as broadly defined as possible. For Concert of the Week, he focuses on the best of recent local performances, mostly classical in nature. For many years, Verne was also the conductor of the Spokane Youth Orchestra. He enjoys gardening, his vintage car and playing French horn.
