From the Studio: Inland Northwest Opera

Dawn Wolski, Director of Inland Northwest Opera, and Maria Caprile, Director of their current production, "The Toy Shop," stop by the studio with highlights of the Opera's upcoming season, which also includes "Cosi fan Tutte" (coming in July) and "Madame Butterfly" (coming in September).

"The Toy Shop," a children's opera, will have free performances 4 PM May 19, at First Presbyterian Church in Coeur d'Alene, 1 PM May 21, at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library, and 3 PM June 1, at the West Central Community Center, in Spokane.

Verne Windham got his start at Spokane Public Radio 20 years ago. “I came in to complain and they hired me.” He’s now the Program Director, as well as the host of Morning Classical and Concert of the Week. When choosing music for Morning Classical, Verne likes to keep the agenda as broadly defined as possible. For Concert of the Week, he focuses on the best of recent local performances, mostly classical in nature. For many years, Verne was also the conductor of the Spokane Youth Orchestra.
