Spokane Civic Theatre's latest production taps local history to tell the story of the Hutton Settlement children's home in Spokane Valley. Writer/director Tim Rarick, actors Tom McArthur (Judge Leavy) and Michael Schmidt (Gus Paulson), and Hutton Settlement Director of Community Relations & Communications, Jessica Laughery, discuss the Settlement's history in the region and the inspiration and development of the play.

"A Place to Call Home" opens on the Civic's Main Stage Friday, October 25, at 7:30 PM, and continues through November 3rd.
