Spokane County, Idaho Still With No Confirmed Coronavirus Cases

Centers for Disease Control

The Spokane Regional Health District says Spokane still has no confirmed coronavirus cases. It reported on Thursday that a Spokane resident has tested negative for the virus.

District officials say the person held himself or herself in isolation until learning about the test result. They say that person, who hasn’t been identified, has a connection to Gonzaga University.

The person experienced symptoms similar to those who have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. He or she also either traveled to one of the countries most at risk for the virus or was in contact with someone who has tested positive for the virus.

Health officer Bob Lutz is encouraging people to use good hygiene habits and to stay home if they feel sick.

Meanwhile, the state of Idaho is also free of the coronavirus, for now. State officials say they’ve tested 27 people. All of the tests have come back negative.
