Ahead of Montana Shakespeare in the Parks' performances ofThe Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised], Spokane Public Radio's E.J. Iannelli spoke by phone with the organization's executive artistic director, Kevin Asselin.
The fast-paced comedic play features three actors trying to perform Shakespeare’s entire canon of 37 plays in just 90 minutes. In this production, the actors are Calvin Adams, Charlotte Mae Ellison and Riley O’Toole.
Asselin explained how The Complete Works... fits into Montana Shakespeare in the Parks' 50th anniversary celebration, what enables the organization to offer its shows for free and why rural communities are so important to its mission.
At least two performances of The Complete Works... are coming to the Spokane Public Radio broadcast area.
The first is on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at The Rex Theater in Thompson Falls, Montana. The second is the following night (Nov. 10) at The Panida Theater in Sandpoint, Idaho.
