In programming, Civic Orchestra of Chicago began to air on Mondays at 11 a.m. on KPBX and Tim Herold begins a locally produced program called Indie Bandstand on Saturday evenings from Midnight to 1 a.m.

“Evening Under the Stars” includes food by Catered for You, and music by Paul Grove, Rhonda Bradetich, and Diminishing Faculties. This is the final Evening Under the Stars event.

Ask Me Another, a show about trivia and brainteasers begins airing on KPBX on Saturdays at noon.

Two programs are tested during July: Cabinet of Wonders is a variety show recorded live in NYC, and Live Wire comes from the Rose Theatre in Portland, OR.
