Halloweekend 2022 on Spokane Public Radio

Spooky season is upon us at Spokane Public Radio! Get in the mood for All-hallows Eve with special Halloween-themed episodes of your favorite shows on KPBX 91.1.

Friday
First, tune in to Friday Night Jazz from 8 – 11 p.m. Host Michael Grabicki brings us 3 hours of spooky tunes this week on the Friday Night Jazz Halloween Show.

Saturday
On Saturday, American Routes shares Dance Around in Your Bones: Halloween, All Saints and All Souls at 4 p.m. They'll mark the season with songs and stories of hauntings, voodoo, and the afterlife in a devout and disruptive mix that honors and humors the dead, past and present.

Then at 7 p.m. Rhythm Atlas celebrates Halloween and Día de los Muertos in a special edition of their show. The playlist includes joyful songs in remembrance of loved ones for the Day of the Dead, music connected with the Celtic roots of Halloween, a haunting song from New Orleans by Dr. John, and more.

Later, at 10 p.m., Brion Foster brings us The Downhome Blues Halloween Show on Downhome Blues.

Sunday
Then on Sunday at 7 p.m., host Michael Park plays on Halloween themes during The International Americana Music Show. Hear songs that mention mythical creatures, pirates, and ghosts. You'll also hear some new artists, a couple of covers, and a few very moving tracks.

Finally, at 9 p.m. on Soundspace, host Zan Agzigian brings us the Soundspace Annual Halloween / Day of the Dead show.
